01: The Intro

Welcome to the first in a series of posts that will document my experience designing and launching a new product. This series will take you all the way from an initial idea and product sketches through the engineering, manufacturing, and distribution. I’ll also touch on the business side of things like how to form an LLC, evaluate market potential, and show the kinds of costs associated with each step of the process. My goal in documenting all this is to allow myself to act as a case study for anyone who dreams of launching a product but doesn’t know where to start. By the end of this series the whole product design process should be clearer and much more approachable for aspiring entrepreneurs. I hope I can help inspire you to dream big, take risks, and work hard to accomplish whatever you set your mind on.
